Childcare allowance

Childcare allowance is a contribution to the costs of childcare by the government. The amount of the childcare allowance depends on the income level, the number of children attending the centre and the type of care. At www.toeslagen.nl it is possible to make a trial calculation.

BOinK, the Association of Parents in Childcare, has launched a toolkit ‘Explanation Childcare Allowance’. The toolkit is an aid for parents and explains childcare allowance. The toolkit also helps parents step-by-step through the most important sections of the Toeslagen website. The toolkit is available to everyone and can be downloaded free of charge in four languages: Dutch, English, Polish and Arabic.
