At this Kids and Carrots location, we offer daycare and after school care in Scheveningen. The building is located at the foot of the lighthouse, just a stone’s throw from the beach, surrounded by the neighborhoods of Statenkwartier, Scheveningen & Oud-Scheveningen, Geuzenkwartier, and Belgisch Park. This location features daycare and after-school care group spaces. Upon entering the individual rooms, it feels like stepping into a living room. In the garden, you’ll find an oasis of natural play materials where all children can explore to their hearts’ content. We do not only find outdoor play a lot of fun but also believe it’s very healthy and beneficial for social development. Additionally, we try to take walks to the beach as often as possible! For our after school care, we pick up children from Annie M.G Schmidtschool and the public primary school Het Volle Leven.

Hoera, Emma was jarig! 🎂 We vierden haar verjaardag met een heerlijke traktatie en veel gezelligheid. Wat een feest om samen te genieten! 💚
Afgelopen week vroegen de Druifjes zelf om een boekje en gingen we buiten lezen. We doken met veel plezier in de verschillende verhalen! 📖 Lezen is een belangrijke activiteit voor de taal- en cognitieve ontwikkeling van jonge kinderen. Door voorgelezen te worden of zelf boekjes te ontdekken, oefenen kinderen op een speelse manier hun taalbegrip, woordenschat en luistervaardigheden. Het stimuleert ook de concentratie, verbeeldingskracht en nieuwsgierigheid.
De herfst blijft volop ontdekken en beleven! 🍂 Binnen schilderen de kinderen vrolijk egels en gebruiken ze hun creativiteit om de herfst tot leven te brengen. Buiten genieten ze van kastanjes, bladeren en al het moois dat de natuur te bieden heeft. Spelenderwijs prikkelen ze hun zintuigen, ontwikkelen ze fijne motoriek en leren ze over de wereld om hen heen. Zo wordt leren een groot avontuur, zowel binnen als buiten!
De blaadjes vallen weer van de bomen en dat betekent dat we volop genieten van de herfst! De kinderen ontdekken de kleurrijke wereld van vallende bladeren, takjes, kastanjes en eikels tijdens het buitenspelen. Ze verzamelen materialen, bekijken de verschillende vormen, kleuren en ontdekken hoe alles aanvoelt. Binnen zetten we dit avontuur voort. De kinderen gaan creatief aan de slag met de herfstmaterialen: ze voelen, ruiken en bekijken alles nauwkeurig, plakken, sorteren en combineren. Zo worden niet alleen hun zintuigen geprikkeld, maar ook hun fijne motoriek, concentratie en creativiteit gestimuleerd. Door spelenderwijs te ontdekken en experimenteren leren de kinderen op een natuurlijke manier over de wereld om hen heen én ontwikkelen ze belangrijke vaardigheden voor hun verdere ontwikkeling.
De Krijt voor Kracht actie op de Dag van de Pedagogisch Professional vorige week heeft de kinderen geïnspireerd. Ze zijn nog steeds druk in de weer met het krijt! #krijtvoorkracht #kidsandcarrots
