This Kids and Carrots childcare centre is decorated with attractive custom-made furniture in warm and natural colours that give the room a homely feel. The garden is adjacent to the children’s farm ‘t Beestenspul and the fence has a view-through, so that the animals are also visible from the garden. The spacious garden has a traffic route with a car wash, a large sandpit, a water bowl, a vegetable garden, an outdoor workshop, a “restaurant” and a play hill.

Met de BSO van onze locatie aan de Vissershavenstraat gingen de kinderen op uitstapje naar Madurodam. Zodra we binnen waren, viel er van alles te ontdekken: miniatuurhuizen, bewegende treinen en bekende plekken die ineens wel héél dichtbij kwamen. De kinderen keken hun ogen uit, herkenden dingen en stelden volop vragen. Wat gebeurt daar? Hoe werkt dat? Alles nodigt uit om samen te kijken, te denken en te praten. Een middag vol nieuwe indrukken, waarin kijken, beleving en plezier maken vanzelf samenkomen. Dat is echt Kids and Carrots! #vissershavenstraat
Op onze locatie aan de Fahrenheitstraat gingen de kinderen op uitstapje naar de kinderboerderij. Zodra we daar waren, kwam alles tot leven: een geit die nieuwsgierig dichterbij kwam, kippen die kakelden, cavia’s die zachtjes piepten en overal geluiden die je alleen hoort als je er echt even bij stilstaat. De kinderen luisterden, keken en reageerden op wat er om hen heen gebeurde. Zo ontstonden er vanzelf vragen, kleine gesprekjes en nieuwsgierigheid. Tijdens dit soort momenten krijgt nieuwsgierigheid de ruimte om te groeien, terwijl plezier vanzelf ontstaat. Dat is echt Kids and Carrots! #fahrenheitstraat
Bij onze Kids and Carrots locatie aan de Witte de Withstraat was atelierpedagoog Yvette weer een ochtend op bezoek! Samen met de kinderen ging ze aan de slag met verschillende materialen, vormen en kleuren. Er ontstonden mooie combinaties en ieder kind gaf op zijn eigen manier vorm aan het kunstwerk. Het was een geslaagde ochtend vol creativiteit, waarin de kinderen zichtbaar opgingen in wat ze maakten. Wij zien er een landschap in… wat zie jij?

Bij Kids & Carrots laten we kinderen graag ontdekken en spelen met natuurlijke materialen. Het liefst gaan we daarvoor naar buiten, op zoek naar kleine schatten uit de natuur die we meenemen naar de groep. Dit is daar een mooi voorbeeld van. Met natuurlijke materialen in glazen potten kunnen ook onze jongste kinderen op een veilige manier ontdekken. Onder begeleiding van onze pedagogisch professionals kijken, voelen en ruiken ze. Zo ervaren ze de natuur ook binnen, met al hun zintuigen. Dat is echt Kids & Carrots!

Easily accessible

The Kids and Carrots nursery is easily accessible by public transport, car and bicycle. Use can be made of the Veenkade pick-up and drop-off lane. Here you can park briefly when bringing and picking up your child(ren). In front of the entrance there are a number of bicycle lanes where bicycles can be parked during drop-off and pick-up.
