Daily schedule for baby groups
At Kids and Carrots we work on the basis of a daily rhythm. In a baby group, the younger children deviate from the rhythm. We work from an individual and child-oriented approach, the sleeping and drinking rhythms of the babies are followed according to individual needs and the rhythm of home. There are a number of activities that take place in group form and we think it is important that they come back around the same time every day, but at least in the same order. This provides a consistent structure that the children can rely on and make them feel safe and secure. The children who are currently awake participate in these activities. The daily activities on the baby groups are: eating fruit, reading books or singing songs, eating a warm lunch, crafts or a music lesson, snack moment spelled waffle or stem.

Daily schedule for toddler and toddler plus groups
Unlike the baby groups, Kids and Carrots has a fixed daily routine for all toddler groups, which provides structure and clarity for children. The children know where they stand and can therefore develop optimally in peace, in a safe and familiar environment. The day rhythm also offers the possibility to alternate free play with targeted activities. We also think it is important that the children enjoy their meals at the table together, in a homely atmosphere.

Development plan
At the Kids and Carrots daycare center, we work with a development plan, this plan described different devilment systems. In the context of these topics, activities are undertaken or, where necessary, certain materials or spatial adaptations are chosen. Of course there is room for adaptations that match the group or individual needs of the child.

The development plan for the baby groups is aimed at offering activities that stimulate the senses optimally. Babies respond to feeling, light and sound by moving. This process is the sensorimotor development. The senses (senso) and motor skills (motor) are inextricably linked. Sensorimotor development forms the basis for overall development and plays an important role in the emotional development of children, how they learn and gain knowledge and how their social and mental development progresses. Around the 14th month, a toddler works hard on his fine motor skills and can often already put or tuck something in somewhere. All activities in the development plan for the baby groups are composed based on the way in which babies and toddlers develop and the stimulus they need to do so.

The development plan for the toddler groups consists of eight themes and the four seasons. In addition to spring, summer, autumn and winter, activities are organized in the context of, for example, “around the world”, “animals” and “vehicles and traffic”. The activities are divided per week into different sub themes, such as art and clothes, fantasy play, nature experience, sports and movement and experiential learning. The activities are very diverse and stimulate and stimulate all areas of development. A separate development plan has been developed for children from the age of 3 to prepare the children for primary school in a playful manner. In addition to the theme-related activities, numbers, letters, art, culture and the English language are also introduced. In addition to yoga, music, visual arts, dance or gym, a mindfulness lesson is offered monthly.

Excursions

The locations of the Kids and Carrots daycare center all have a very spacious garden, where various activities are organized daily. Trips are regularly made with children from the age of 2 to the shop, the petting zoo, the library and city parks.

Several other trips are made several times a year; such as a visit to the fire brigade, the beach and the theater. We have several multiple strollers with which the children can be safely transported.

Extra activities

In addition to the extensive range of activities offered by the pedagogical staff, we work with regular teachers who come to offer weekly workshops to the groups. For example, we work with regular teachers in the fields of dance, yoga, visual arts and music who are present every week on changing days.
